I’m wondering how long does it take to get the receipt notice ? Sent my I-751 on November 19, case received on November 23, check cashed on November 26.

Late update: our NOA1 with 24-month extension came in the mail last Friday!

 

That makes it 9 days from when USCIS officially received our packet to when the letter showed up in our mailbox.

As far as me and my house hold is concern. We are applying for Naturalisation immidiately ones we  qualify which this coming January.  our case status is.., "Ready to be scheduled for an Interview" while the uscis  is thinking of when to schedule, USCIS clearly states that you can file for Naturaliszation 90 days before your 3 years Anniversary  considering you meet all the requirement. What will happen is.., we are going to have a combo interview just like many others . If your final decision is to apply for naturalization why waiting?

I am not saying that I won't do it, but that we still have a year to gather more information to decide whether or not it is beneficial.  Some attorneys are saying that applying for naturalization while the I-751 is pending may complicate your case making it take longer, so, I will see what happens during 2022 before making that decision

Right , It is an easy decision for me to make because  my Good friend's wife whom we spend Thanksgiving together never even saw a 10 years greencard. She applied and got her Citizenship  sameday as the Greencard interview. I dont see how or why the attorney says  it complecates or delay. Rather, I see it as it help speed up the case. But the is no disadvantage at all. I have a few other friends (well, People I know ) that did . So it made my decision very easy. Check youtube there are videos , people with same expirence. If something delays, it's not because you file Citizenship. other factor can play a part for the delay. At the end of it. The decision to wait is still ok for someone who is patient enough.

I saw this on Jim Hacking's YouTube channel, he used to recommend applying for naturalization while waiting for I-751, but does not anymore.  We still have to wait almost a whole year before we can apply.  Maybe under the new administration things will improve in USCIS during 2022.  We will cross the bridge when we get to it.

Hi everyone,

I sent my package yesterday (11/29) and it was received in Texas PO 21200 today, but I'm in panic because I did not label the envelope with my documents, I just went to USPS and put my envelope inside the priority envelope, do you think that my documents can get lost?

I also did not fill the G-1145 (yes, I know  )...how am I going to know that it's been received and in process??

Still an option. The choice is the filer's.

Are you filing the I-751? The USPS address for it is in Arizona, not Texas.
