Our 90 day window opened on Halloween, 2021, sent the package on November 17, 2021 and was received by USCIS on November 20, 2021, and today, November 24 received the text message informing that the package had been received, and were assigned the Potomac Service Center.

Now comes the wait.....

Hopefully everything was done right and the case will be approved ASAP.

Hundreds of hours studying immigration law, many forms have been prepared, thousands of dollars spent, we have been to interviews twice already (K1 and AOS), and we still have to prove to USCIS our marriage is real.

It is nice to see we're not alone, and do wish everyone lots of luck, as we're all in the same boat

does anyone know how biometric appointment is waived? is it just random?

I read somewhere that if you include the I-797 approving the AOS in the I-751 package, there was a high chance that the Biometrics would be reused.

Not sure if that is true or not, but it did not seem to hurt to include.

In my internet research preparing the I-751 I read that somewhere, but I think there are as many kinds of I-751 packages as there are petitioners....

Each couple's circumstances are different.

In my opinion, if your package is well organized , the I-751 is filled out correctly, and the correct fees are included, you're OK

Hi everyone! I will be a December filer and I have a question. Those of you who received a text message (or not), did you also receive an email or notification from your USCIS account about your case? Like to know what your case number is if you don’t get a text?

thanks

Hey! It's good to see some familiar names from the 2019 AOS group! We just sent our ROC package.

I have a question for those of you who already received the NOA. Did you guys got the 24 months extension as well or do we get to have another biometrics again? My 2 year green card is about to expire at the end of January and the HR at my work is already asking about the extension letter. I definitely don't want to lose my job...

Hi! I remember you from 2019, nice to see you on here again!

I believe that the NOA is also the 24 month extension and then we may have a biometric appointment after that. The NOA should be what you need for your job. It sounds from folks on here like those are getting delivered 10 days - 2 weeks after the package is delivered so you should be getting it soon.

We filed ours yesterday and it was delivered today. Fingers crossed for a smooth process!!

From what I've seen in this forum, and in the spreadsheet, you should get your 24 month extension in a couple of weeks

Now this is making me wonder, are we required to submit the extension letter to our employers whether they are asking for it or not????

I thought we dont need to do anything and thy are not suppose to ask you about it. 🤔

I think every employer is different. We moved to Texas from California at the beginning of this year and when I got hired my new employer asked me to file an I-9 form which helps them to check my legal status ( I never had to file this form in CA). Also, when I got hired the HR person reminded me about my expiring green card and said they'll contact me a few months before and they just did a couple of days ago. They want me to show the 24 months extension letter.

Okkie that make sense. I am just thinking my employer just asked for a picture of green card i think before hiring nothing else. Lets see what happens.

Good luck for your case and hope you get faster approvals.

I'm not worried about the approval because I know it will take such a long time. I'm planning to apply for the Naturalization next November and as far as I know USCIS will waive the 2 cases together and will have the 10 year card interview a couple days earlier than the Naturalization interview.
