Hello everyone :)

Got my N400 interview done today (pending I751 application) . Me, my spouse, my daughter and my step daughter we all went for the interview. The interviewer was a super duper nice lady.
She called all of us inside. She took a combo interview at first, looked at our file asked us basically if we are living together and did we file the taxes. We gave her the tax transcripts for last 4 year. She asked us if anything else we want to submit besides what is already there in file. We told her we already submitted everything.
She asked me the whole address. Asked my spouse her name and date of birth. After that she told my spouse that she is going to take my N400 interview and she escorted all of them out.
After thy left she asked me few more questions like how do we met, was I married before. How much taxes we paid. I told her we paid more than 6K in taxes this year. She was surprised n asked me how as we have two kids. I told her my n my spouses salary and that we wern't expecting either that we will have to pay that much.
Then she started N400 interview:
Question:
Who is the speaker of house?
Which territory did US buy from france.?
What is the capital of your state?
What is the supreme law of the land?
Who makes the federal laws?
What does the constitution do?

Reading and Writing question was:
Where is the White House?
White House in the Washington D.C.

She said she is still checking if thy have tranfer the I751 file in the system. She tried twice n told me that she has messaged them about it but thy havent responded yet. She said she will approve it once she will get the file in system and that she is sorry she cant tick the congratulations box in the paper. She said wait for the oath ceremony letter to arrive in mail. I told her its ok no problem. She escorted me outside. Overall experience was really nice.

Just now I checked my case tracker and I got an alert saying I 751 was tranferred to another office. 😁

Note : BTW I forgot to mention while talking to interviewer about my I751 application I told her my 751 application is pending for 1 year 3 months now, then the interviewer told me since I filed N400, my I 751 application will jump the line and will be approved sooner.

Update about my case:

Just got the RFE letter and it says INSUFFICIENT EVIDENCE OF BONA FIDE MARRIAGE.

These guys are ridiculous!

They don't ask for anything in particular, just want more proofs since they took 15 months to process it.

Of course buying a house together is not enough!

Sorry to hear about that. When you filed I-751, did you submit evidence from the start of the marriage or only stuff since becoming LPR?

Did you submit all pages of all statements or only some? Did you submit every monthly statement or just select statements from each quarter?

That's the template they use for every RFE, don't worry.

Send EVERYTHING again and more, including whatever you have from the time you filed to this date.

Are you talking about the bank statements?

I submitted a piece of paper that testifies we have a joint bank account that we use to pay the mortgage and shared expenses. No monthly statement, that's our business how and when we spend our money and I'm not gonna share it with them.

I sent 2020 taxes because we still haven't filed 2021 by then, so we're filing 2022 now and I'm gonna wait for it to send them.

They expect to see every single piece of your life and they're used to see monthly statements from the couples with joint bank accounts.

You can actually conceal whatever information you consider confidential, but it is important to let them know that you both have shared financial responsibilities throughout your marriage.

While I agree sharing financial info with strangers is not ideal and not comfortable for many, this is exactly what USCIS is looking for. IO wants to see detailed info about how you co-mingle finances. That's probably why RFE was issued. You need to submit everything and overwhelm them with evidence. Otherwise you may get a denial.

Thanks guys, I got it! It's all about money, love doesn't matter.

They cannot evaluate how much you love each other.

They need facts and evidence that can prove it is a bonafide marriage: shared residence, shared finances, shared plans for the future, shared life.

And beyond what USCIS expects, let's be honest: a marriage, particularly a good one, requires way more than just love.

I understand your frustration, but no, love for them isn’t enough. Otherwise anyone can say “I love this person” and commit fraud.
We’ve included every bank statement we had for AOS and also for ROC. Never redacted anything and haven’t had any issues

That doesn’t sound right. Can you actually post a pic of RFE you got? Minus sensitive info in it - like your case number and initials. When I got mine they did use the same exact phrase “INSUFFICIENT EVIDENCE…” but they also wrote down WHAT they got from me, there was only a several pics and 1 tax return. That’s how I knew they lost my docs. So in your RFE did they list the entire list of everything you sent?! Pay attention to that detail, it’s very important.

Not every letter lists what they actually have and it does not necessarily mean they lost documents. Not all agents take the time to list each and every document.

In any case, with an RFE, it is advisable to send everything again and more.
