Status of Auckland, NZ Consulate with COVID restrictions?

With the announcement that Auckland is moving to "Delta Level 3 Step 2" next week, I was wondering how this may impact the Auckland Consulate.

The news says that the Auckland border will remain throughout the "traffic light" system, and the Consulate website states that they are unable to open for any visa appointments with the current restrictions.

I guess this question is probably pretty hard to answer, but I thought I'd try anyway. Any ideas when the Auckland Consulate will re-open for those outside of Auckland to have their visa interview, and how backed up the visa interviews may be by that point?

I am moving to the US in a couple weeks but my wife will stay in NZ until her interview can happen. We always expected to separated for a bit during the NVC stage, but it'd be ironic if the delay ended up being caused by COVID restrictions in NZ!

Don't know how I missed that thread, but that was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Feel free to join us over there. The thread probably fits better in US Embassy and Consulate Discussion anyway as we have a few K-1s who are tuning in now as well.
