Marry in the US and then apply for a CR-1 in Mexico?

Hey everybody. Today's one of those days where everything feels wrong.

I wanna ask if it's possible to get married in the United States, come back to Mexico and then apply for a CR-1 Visa from here.

I'm visiting my fiance in Colorado in December  anyways and I thought maybe this was the fastest solution to be together. He cannot travel to Mexico until next summer. We thought about filing for a K-1 visa (got everything ready) but I don't think it will work since we're having a catholic wedding next summer (after application, before interview).

It's possible. You can get married anywhere. 

Just check the requirements for getting married in Colorado as a foreign national. If it's tricky you can always get married in Vegas.

Sure it is completely doable.  Find out what the requirements are for where the ceremony is to be held.
