Update Dec 8, 2021

We went for the interview, and it was smoother than a job interview! Didn't spend 5min with the counselor and then he took the passport and gave us a link to check the status. Yesterday we got the Visa, and tomorrow is our flight to USA. 🫂

Congrats 🎉 I’m impressed at how smooth that was for you guys! It sounds like it was 5 days from the interview to pick up the passport?

Hi all,

Question about this whole thread...anyone know how to get a case transferred? As Ethiopia is also not processing cases, been trying to figure out how to take steps to get it somewhere else, but can't get any answers. Help?

If you have a lawyer he/she should be able to transfer it. To transfer a case you'd have to submit a form printed online but I am not sure how as I never transferred. Hopefully someone here responds but I would recommend you open your own thread so you get the full attention and detailed responses. Good Luck!

Hey sorry i am late...look what I did is I submitted everything you can ever proof as marriage. I submitted wedding photos 35 pictures and where was it taken and who is in it. Text messages before and after marriage 35 pictures with translations. I submitted all taxes and many many things. I don't know if you are doing it by yourself or you have someone doing it for you. I have a lawyer who helped me through everything

Glad it did!! Congratulations 🎊 👏

Djibouti is the fastest based on my experience and some people i met there. Mine after NVC sending the notice of approval and waiting list, it took me no more than 2 months for my spouse to be here... you should be getting it within 1-3 months hopefully 🙏
