I know multiple people in the military including my brother (who almost has his 20 years in) who are refusing the shot. Can't blame them for refusing an experimental medical treatment.

If 18% of the armed forces have not received even one dose of the FDA approved vaccine, aren't they already beyond the time limit?  They would have had to have the first jab by 10/24 to be fully vaccinated by 11/28.  Can the US afford to lose close to 20% of its armed forces members?

I would say 1/3 of our military being ready to quit affects military readiness a lot more than troops not taking an experimental shot that has questionable safety and effectiveness.

Ahhh the good ol days, when troops would drop LSD and be exposed to a nuclear blast without a bunch of lip.

I think military members should follow orders they are given. Within reason and within the confines of what is legal. What you describe was not within reason and it is questionable whether it was legal. Taking an experimental shot falls within the same category in my opinion. If we are gonna chose not to abandon the Nuremburg codes members of the military do not have to subject themselves to experimental medical procedures. If we are gonna choose not to follow the Nuremburg codes our country is in a lot of trouble. Tell me which has a greater effect on military readiness. Members of the military not taking a vaccine or about 1/3 of them ready to quit. If failure to take the vaccine effects the readiness of less than 1/3 of our military the answer is obvious.

I'm sure China is very happy about the vaccine mandate. 1/3 ready to walk and a large number of the rest being injured or killed by the shot. Wonder why they aren't mandating the vaccine for their military.

West Point Vaccine Mandate Is an Unlawful Order

by Nickaylah Sampson - October 30, 2021

I am 19 years old, and I am a former cadet at the United States Military Academy at West Point.  On October 21, I signed my resignation from the Army, and left West Point for good, giving up a $400,000 education and a career serving in our nation's Army.  I left over a vaccine and an unlawful order.  [...]
