I just checked CEAC, I try to limit myself to once a week to spare my sanity, what's left of it.  I was presently surprised today. It was updated on Friday for the first time since Dec 20th (which was my only other update).  1 year exactly to the date that my case was created, but going on 23 months of first application.  Coincidently we sent letters off to our senators and congresspeople on Saturday.

ME!! I had a follow-up interview!!! So my first interview was weird, they completely skipped my number & was waiting for ages before I eventually went up to window 6. They then called me on the intercom. They were asking me about my work history and phone numbers and where I lived when I had said phone numbers, one in particular.  I was very confused and super flustered. Then I had the other two tiny interviews that everyone else has and I was issued the 221g for my medical not arriving on time.  2 weeks after that they requested all of my phone records, lease information and employment history from 2015. I provided everything except the cell phone information as I'd switched companies. Then 10 days after that they requested I fly all the way back to Montreal from Alberta which I did. The second interview was with 3 people, one of whom was a private investigator of some sort. I had to sign a paper saying I was being honest and it said something about a lawyer. The first thing the investigator said was, "don't worry you're not under arrest" I was like....#######?  I gave them my entire life story from the day I was born, all the jobs I'd ever worked at, all my previous relationships, all about my family, everything. They asked some very odd questions about my past relationships, if I was ever forced into anything I didn't want to do, ever told to make more money, if any of my exes wanted revenge on me... It was TERRIFYING. Then....at the very end, they asked if ever in 2015 was I ever involved in any illicit activities specifically of sexual nature. I was shocked. Turns out, the number I currently have was flagged as being on an escort website back in 2015. Thankfully I had another number at that time and had gone through old emails and had proof. After about an hour and a half of questioning and me answering,  they said they had no concerns and could see me and my husband were very happily married and  I was issued my visa 17 days later. I had no clue what was going on with having to go for a follow-up interview and never in my WILDEST thoughts did I EVER think that something like this would happen and I've never heard of anything like it.  I'm still a little bewildered by the whole experience but I'm so happy it's over.

Thanks dear for answered my question and I am happy for you that everything is over and got the approval.Congratulation!!!

I admire you If you can control yourself to check just once a week.

Hello! Congrats to everyone whose cases are being processed quickly. The last few weeks have been so hopeful and encouraging on this thread!

I need some input if y’all are willing. I checked my husband’s case today and it was updated and now says “Ready”, but in the description it states “Your case is ready for you to schedule an interview at the US Consulate general in Montreal. If you have already scheduled an interview appointment, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment.”

We haven’t received an email or letter. This is confusing because he already had his interview on December 10th and they received the medical a few weeks after (that’s why he’s in AP, they hadn’t received his medical). Does anyone know what this status updates means? Will he have to have a second interview? The consulate currently have his passport. Why would they need another interview? His interview went fine and he would be approved then had he had the medical done and sent in time.

Anyone familiar with this response by the consulate?

I know how you feel! I am at 90 days since interview for delayed medical. Something has to give here. This has been so stressful. Praying that you and the rest of us in AP will get updates soon.

this is so infuriating. they literally need someone to review the medical and issue the visa. It should not take 90 days to do such a quick administrative process
