So I don't know if this matters but I did get a 212(g)(2)(B), waiver from ineligibility due to missing vaccines (I have a feeling it was due to mixed doses of Covid Vax that Canada has been doing since I wasn't missing anything else) on my VISA. Not sure if that would warrant additional processing / time to complete but thought I'd share.

It shouldn't.  I received approval at the interview and my visa has the 221(g)2(b) annotation on it.  I am sure mine is for the varicella vaccine because I had chicken pox as a kid so the vaccine is not required.  That is the only one I didn't have and it was no issue.  If you had chicken pox then it is likely that, if you had a varicella shot then maybe it does have to do with the Covid mixing.  Either way, if it is noted on the visa, it doesn't affect anything.

That’s what you see printed on the stamp you see on your passport right?

That basically means you got a waiver because certain vaccines were found to be  not suitable/ required for you. It’s very common and maybe even everyone gets it. I got it too, and I even had the varicella shot.

Not exactly sure what triggers it. I think it may be that you don’t need certain vaccines as an adult and get a waiver? I doubt it is the mixing of vaccines as people commonly got this even before the COVID vaccine became mandatory…

In any case, it has no bearing on your entry or anything…

Yes. Did find it had no bearing on entry but maybe they are checking stuff more diligently??? The Covid one is a new mandate.

I haven’t crossed the border yet, but yes, many people who have had this stamp have crossed and had no issues.

It is also on the FAQ from the other main Montreal thread.

Yeah it's very common. I have it as well and included this question in the new FAQ! I thought it could be for many reasons. A lot of us here had our medical before flu season and so we did not need the flu vaccine. Another reason could be is that there are actually a lot of other vaccines listed for immigration, but not all are appropriate for everyone due to age/condition of health.

@DrJanko10  @Danii @From_CAN_2_US

Is it better to renew my driver's license from Alberta and have it "just incase"?

Would it benefit me at all to have it renewed (it expires soon, although I'd make it to a DMV to apply for an in state drivers license first)

Maybe renew it and keep it with my Canadian passport?

**I didnt recieve my passport back/Visa so I don't know if I'm approved or not but I'm just thinking for the future**

I don’t drive, so haven’t looked into this. But my understanding is that in most states you need to surrender your Canadian drivers licence to get the American drivers licence.

If that is the case in the state you are moving to, it wouldn’t make sense to renew right now.

congratulation to everyone who recently got the approval here.

 A quick question

Is anyone here  experienced with the second interview ? what is the purpose? (at the first interview CO took the passport and now did schedule for the second interview and they did not ask for any extra document!!!

Thanks in advance.

ME!! I had a follow-up interview!!! So my first interview was weird, they completely skipped my number & was waiting for ages before I eventually went up to window 6. They then called me on the intercom. They were asking me about my work history and phone numbers and where I lived when I had said phone numbers, one in particular.  I was very confused and super flustered. Then I had the other two tiny interviews that everyone else has and I was issued the 221g for my medical not arriving on time.  2 weeks after that they requested all of my phone records, lease information and employment history from 2015. I provided everything except the cell phone information as I'd switched companies. Then 10 days after that they requested I fly all the way back to Montreal from Alberta which I did. The second interview was with 3 people, one of whom was a private investigator of some sort. I had to sign a paper saying I was being honest and it said something about a lawyer. The first thing the investigator said was, "don't worry you're not under arrest" I was like....#######?  I gave them my entire life story from the day I was born, all the jobs I'd ever worked at, all my previous relationships, all about my family, everything. They asked some very odd questions about my past relationships, if I was ever forced into anything I didn't want to do, ever told to make more money, if any of my exes wanted revenge on me... It was TERRIFYING. Then....at the very end, they asked if ever in 2015 was I ever involved in any illicit activities specifically of sexual nature. I was shocked. Turns out, the number I currently have was flagged as being on an escort website back in 2015. Thankfully I had another number at that time and had gone through old emails and had proof. After about an hour and a half of questioning and me answering,  they said they had no concerns and could see me and my husband were very happily married and  I was issued my visa 17 days later. I had no clue what was going on with having to go for a follow-up interview and never in my WILDEST thoughts did I EVER think that something like this would happen and I've never heard of anything like it.  I'm still a little bewildered by the whole experience but I'm so happy it's over.

That’s wild!

Glad it got sorted out. Think this other escort person may have been involved in more than just sex trade….

Congratulations again on your approval.

Lol possibly! They investigator did give me his police card at the end and they all spoke about trafficking and that I'd be surprised at the number of times that people have been in situations they felt like they couldn't get out of. I was told to call him if I had any other information I could provide him.
