I just can't believe a spousal immigrant visa coming from Canada has taken more than 2.5 years. It is so incredibly frustrating now, because it seems like there is no end in sight. My medical expires on March 20.

It's really unbelievable, I can't believe even that is lost in delays...

Man I am really worried about medical expiration mine expires in April, we can think there is enough time but how this is going that’s around the corner.

I just called the general inquiry number in Montreal. The lady said that they have received my passport and that the consulate is backed up in issuing visas and can take several weeks. She also confirmed that when they ask for your passport back that they are ready to stamp it. She said to just be patient and keeps checking the tracker.

i still won’t believe it until my status changes to issued or I get a response to my email or public inquiry25ACB61C-08C1-4EE9-8200-0C74024563E5.thumb.png.7cd1d80eb43f64da69fb5a4f5c537319.png

The best part is when they says it can just take several weeks to stamp the visa even when you AP have finished.

But at least you’re almos there.

My spouse is actually from France. Our situation is weird, since we met when both living in the Caribbean. I am now in NYC, she initially moved to Montreal to be as close as possible (work visa)- I proposed, and thus this nightmare began. At any rate France is not on the *** list with USA either so...

Your spouse is a genuinely awesome person. I remember her in line and she said she came alone with a bunch of plastic sleeved binder.

No, my husband had called the state reps office ( noone answered) he was writing up the email to send to them later this afternoon and he checked the ceac tracker for the last update and it had changed to READY.  5 minutes before it had said refused. He thought he logged into something wrong or there was an error. Lol. When I say I was shocked.... like what?!

Did you have any status date update movements before it turned to issued?
