Lol that is the hazard with naming yourself after the cursed form... it's a bit like... having a name similar to a gangster or bad guy on some blacklist somewhere.

Probably why I got the damn form to start with..

lol. In all seriousness, in coming up with 7 or 8 potential (but weak) scenarios in my head, one hypothesis I came up with to explain why I received it is that my last name (which sounds Russian, but really isn't) is maybe somehow close to some Russian gangster or oligarch on a list somewhere. Pure speculation.

That is why I left just a warning.

Fair enough, I can understand why you want to prevent it turning into, say, a Twitter thread. Anyone want to see full on antagonism and get depressed about humanity, trying go on Twitter for a few minutes! 😂

Um... What happened here? That's not what it normally says...

The system did lag the first time I loaded it in. I wonder if this is a bug or a good sign? It used to say case "Refused" and created early Jan 2021 and case updated Jan 6th 2022.

Looks like a good thing. Congrats! A quick search on VJ shows that within 2-3 business days it should move into the next state before issue.

That's awesome. Is this unique to K1 cases? Or does this happen to IR1/CR1 cases too?

Yeah this is interesting! I hope it's good news for you! This system is full of heartbreaks and anticipations lol.

I got an update today but still says Refused my last update was December 21st. My husband also contacted his congressman a couple of days ago and now there is an update, might be a coincidence but well see! I can't get my hopes up high lol

Wait... How did you file AOS then? i864? Did you have a joint sponsor?

Just catching up on all the messages from today, but we're going for the K-1 visa so perhaps our process is a bit different than the spousal visas. We don't file AOS until we're approved for the visa.
