Well my stepdads extra TB tests (cause X-ray weren’t clear) finally came in yesterday and his case was updated today. So I assume consulate got it today. His wait starts now. He was approved aside from getting medical. So hopefully this isn’t a wait like 5535

USCIS

Well transparency would be appreciated. It’s stressful thinking that something is wrong with your case when they give you a time frame of 2-3 weeks especially when it’s only a medical that they are waiting for. How hard is it to look a your medical report that is right in front of them and approve your visa! I just don’t get it!

Transparency, ha! This is immigration... it's as opaque as it gets, and they like it that way.

What I love is... when I was in Montreal for the interview, there was a girl one ahead of me, from the line and I got to talking to her. She also was moving to South Florida to be with her spouse. She was not even born in Canada, I learned. However, she walked out of there all smiles and approved, and I am still stuck here.

Some people can’t  process if the C.O tell them you need to wait from 3 to 6 months. With the medical stuff that is something that don’t make sense for me, if that it’s the only pending thing why not to issue the visa after they receive the result if the person is healthy. probably A.P are not classified, because that can be solved when they receive the results.

I hate to give into confirmation bias, but I think this lends some more evidence for the "clearing out the backlog in queue by speeding up interviews and then diverting a percent to another queue" theory, in that, they can slow down the number of immigrants they are actually approving at once, while still cleaning up the interview queue...

Make sense, could be.

I agree with this theory too, although we really do not know what is going on. I think they were clearing the queue for interviews and were very friendly with the distribution of 221G and DS5535s.

Yeah that is basically what I am saying. I didn’t invent this hypothesis but it still strikes me as most likely. Whatever the case, I am very frustrated with this process now.

Its a good sign... I spoke to FB User RC and she also said that only a few minutes after an update did her status change to Issued. I'm assuming they did the same for my case!
