This is very helpful! Looks like I’m leading the charge in longest time waiting since sending in the form 😅🥲

We had our interview on the same day! Mine was at 1pm. Were we there at the same time?

Did you contact them once they got your medical?  And when did they get your medical? Might be worth it to email them and ask if they got your medical and for updates

Hi! Yes I did! They received my medicals on Nov 16. I sent an email Nov 25 and got a response on Dec 7 to confirm they've received the medical report and that it would be sent to the Visa Unit for review. They looked at my case a week later on Dec 15. No change though.

Oh nice. It’s actually for my mom, hers was at 8am.

it’s funny cause she’s retired, her name isn’t common, she has no social media, nothing.
but here we are, almost hitting three months wait

Hey everyone, just wanted to share some info about reaching out to representatives. It seems like every office operates quite differently. I reached out to one congresswoman, who took on my case right away. The senator I reached out to said she does not inquire about any cases in AP. My friend was told by a congressmen that they can not inquire on her behalf until it's been 90 days since her interview. Another senator took on her case right away as well. If you get turned down by someone you reached out to, don't give up! Use up all of your resources and hopefully someone will help you out.

Also forgot to add one more thing. I've seen more approvals than usual this week on the FB groups. None of these cases were at Montreal though. These consulates opened up earlier as they don't have as many local holidays/day offs. Thought it was a semi good sign that maybe things will pick up here too once Montreal opens!

How long should you wait until you email the Consulate about your status? How often should you email them to ask/remind them? Is it a 'good' or 'bad' thing to email them?

Unless the email is very specific and gets sent up to the IO. You will just get the mail room generic email.

For whatever it's worth, I just logged into CEAC visa status checker and while still refused, it is now with today's date 12.28.21 (previously 11.22.21)

I know as of now this is just a cryptic sign that something is going on but figured I'd see if everyone else had a recent "updated refusal" on their end as well?

Hi there, you are absolutely correct. I tried reaching out to both my senators and they would not help. One senator said they could only help after 90 days in AP and the other senator’s office said they could not inquire while under AP. I then reached out to my congressman’s office who did  take the case. They did contact the consulate on my behalf and received  a response  back.

It was a very general response stating that I did not have my medical available at time of interview and that they confirmed receipt of medical and as soon as officer reviews the case they will advise me of next steps.

I was hoping for a better outcome as @katcat29and @CanadianJeff had but at least my case was brought to their attention.

Hoping we all get some good news in the New Year!

Today the consulate gave me what I can only assume is a form response with non-informative bureaucratese. And they updated the "Last updated" date to today. Not really a big report lol. Does this response seem like a word for word replication of y'all have seen:

That’s a copy paste reply. They will prob send them out to everyone who is in ap and sends an email. May be a new template.

Yes, this is verbatim the exact same response I've received twice.

Yeah and the update is probably just because they sent the email today. So, all in all, a big bowl of nada.
