Same here! At least someone is doing something more frequently.

Yeah this is the only thing we can say: *something* is happening on the back end there.

I was also updated Dec. 20.

I think that could be a good news for all of you because looks like all of your case are being moved in a batch.

Just got a reply to an email I sent last week (when I hit the 60 day mark) and it was a generic reply like before. My case last updated also changed to today's date, but that's because they replied to my email. So my case hasn't been updated since Oct. 25th, because the last two updates have been replies to my emails. How deflating :(

At least my wife and my in-laws are coming here for Christmas. Wishing everyone Happy Holidays, and I'm hoping for some more movement for us all in our cases.

Anyone close to the two year Anniversary? I'm 7 days away, what happens if I'm approved before the 7th day. Any other caveats,

I'm pretty sure your case is CR1/IR1 depending on the day you decide to immigrate. So even if you're approved before the 2 year mark, if you enter the US any day after your anniversary, you'll get IR1 (10 year green card)

Hot damn, I did not know that. That is amazing (assuming we are all approved)

Seems to me at this rate this process just keeps stretching out, so right now I have been married 7 years and by the time they finish and approve me, what, 9, 10 years? Or will wife have left me for another dude already? lol

Maybe they are getting ready for your American Citizenship. Congrats!

It's funny, at least half of VisaJourney is about trying to guess at internal processes of government agencies based on the smallest of clues. Might be true, might not, but hey it has to signify something, right?

This is correct. Whether you get 2 year or 10 year green card depends on how long you have been married at the point of entry.

Yes I totally agree!! I got an update on December 17, 18 and today (21st) but there all Refused. I submitted the 5535 on November 10 and my first update was December 17.This is so strange, I wonder if they are actually looking at it and there is some deadline they're trying to meet or if people are suing and to make it look like they're looking into it they keep updating the status on CEAC.

Hopefully we get some good news soon though!

I personally can discern no particular pattern. I submitted DS-5535 late in the day on Oct 27, case updated on Oct 28, then updated Dec 17, and yesterday Dec 20. you were several days after but also getting updated around same time. It's a head scratcher.

I have some interesting insight to share. Just connected with another Canadian on FB who was put into AP (with DS5535) about 2 years ago. Their situation is complicated so I don't think the details are relevant/can be compared to ours, but they just told me they were able to travel to the US 5 times while in AP. Sometimes the officer asked more questions than usual, but they were never turned around. Just like how we had to make sure we had proof of ties to Canada when we wanted to travel during the general i130 process, the same applies here. Thought this may help someone whose partner isn't able to travel to Canada. Hopefully maybe this way you can reunite for the holidays 💛

This is nice to hear, but I am not even sure I want to risk it at this point. So close. Plus omicron, my lord.
