Hi all, ive also been a silent reader for a few months now, and it seems like the only way to get anything moving after the DS-5535 is to complete a WOM...?

ive got the email back at the end of march, filled out everything and emailed the consulate back April 1st 2022.  They confirmed receiving the DS-5535 form by email April 6th (but i was still waiting on my police clearance), which they received on April 25th 2022.

Since then my case went from Issued with admin processing (may 4th) to ready (may 10th) to refused (may 25th)... last update was may 31st.

I know im still within the timeframes but i just want to start preparing for the next steps, and its seems like it would be the WOM... Ive also read something about a class action suit?

Thanks for reading, and for any advices you may have

congressperson's are useless. mine just emailed again and said they got a response that my case is in AP and the process cannot be waived or expedited.

i told her i agree that it cannot be waived but i disagree that it cannot be expedited. A lawsuit will force an answer and essentially help expedite the case. its sad that our elected officials cant do this.

Only a judge can make that type of order.

Hey @Bob30, usually around 4-6 months post interview is when they will agree to file a WOM, but worth a try to do a strategy session(it's free), they will ask you questions and see if you meet the criteria to follow through! 🙂

Dunno about winners or losers ... but hoping if anything it's at least a source of entertainment or distraction... I think I saw a pattern, if you're nice and not forceful they take 8-11 days to answer, if you're frustrated (like @DS5535) then they answer real quick... in my email I was polite but spouted their own lingo back at them trying to get them to look at my case ASAP and they answered within 24 hours. Whatcha think? We could create a whole new spreadsheet on consulate communication patterns 😂

Lol I'd love to see your email where you spouted their own lingo back at them

Quite frankly, I do not believe anything that you say, whether content-wise or stylistically, makes any difference in their response time.

Came here to check how you folks are doing. Sorry to see some of you still in the limbo. Keep up the hope and action as much as you can!

At our end, we got our GC and SSN in hand. Now time to fully set the roots in USA.

Let me know if I can be of any help!
