congrats! before the medical request, was your last updated date updating frequently?

Yes, case updated twice (Tuesday/Thursday - seems to be the pattern) before the request for new medicals.  But, I think action was due to the deadline set by judge for defendants to respond by, which was end of April.

@Canada21 Thanks

@JR90 I ended up hiring Joshua Goldstein. He and his team are excellent!  I did heavy research on his # of cases and success rate. Extremely competent attorney. Approximately 60% of mandamus lawsuit at Montreal were by Joshua with 100% success rate.

The second most popular one was Hackling law firm with only 20% share of the files with less than 100% success rate (70-80%)

Choosing Joshua was a no brainer.

We got the DS 5535 today. My fiance's interview was yesterday (May 4) and they emailed him today (May 5). Just adding info in relation to convos here, he has extensive travel history between the US and Canada but he's never left North America and doesn't have any ties to any other countries. Both his parents are Canadian citizens as is he.

Joining you all in the wait...

Yah can we get an idea about how much it is. I have also looked into it and would like some estimates. I know they have said everyones cost differs depending on each case as well. We are at almost 6 months.

I believe it may be determined case by case. It was 5500 usd for us. Just the thought of being back together as a family of four makes me so emotional. ❤

I believe it is determined case by case. We are on day 152, they will more than likely ask some questions to see if you meet the criteria before proceeding. Our case was 5500 usd. Good luck with your process!

Yea, that is what i paid: $5500 USD. I think that is his flat fee structure. Marginal when compared to the lost opportunity and this mind-boggling delay pain.

I heard talk once of a group WOM… I can’t really afford one on my own without basically crowdfunding at this point but how many of us would be willing to do a group situation I saw people writing about? I’m not a great organizer but I’d be in for sure.

Yah I was interested in that too. I don't know what happened to that. When I make an appointment I'll ask them if they can do a group WOW for us.
