Hey y’all, I just went up to visit my spouse this weekend, but he isn’t doing so well, I’m thinking about going back today (I just left Sunday) and staying for the month, my job gave me to go. What do you think the chances are I’ll get turned away at the border? Any thoughts?

Yep. Nada. another day down. It is outrageous.

I mean it is not like i have just been waiting for my immigrant visa for a few months. I am 2 years, 8 months, and counting. It is unbelievable to me.

I have been waiting 27 months, out of that 4 months in AP. The system is a disgrace.

It is really outrageous. I can't believe. This is a spousal visa and we are coming from Canada. It is absolutely mind-boggling to me how we are still in this.

Our petitioner had sent a congressional inquiry sometime ago. We got the usual canned response and last updated changed to today's date.

Did that update your case today?

Lol, that is basically all that happens anyway, the congressperson’s office sends the inquiry, and then they change the “last updated on” date and then… that is all.

Yeah I don’t believe it does anything, quite honestly.

Not just Canada but Windsor for me, but okay. Aliens we are. I wanna be a green alien, what about you?

I think if we were any other aliens, we would be in faster for some reason; people at the consulate who I could tell were neither born nor raised in Canada walked out of there with visas approved. I was watching and listening and observing for like 4 hours, and even conversed with some. So much for being brotherly nations?

Nope. I assume it will take Montreal a few days before they look at the request

They claim that they aim to reply to the public inquiry in 2 business days, but that's about it. I did find that they replied to that a lot faster than regular inquiry. I had sent them a few emails over the course of 2-3 weeks about a certain problem and got no response, but they replied to the public inquiry in 1 day.

I agree. The public inquiry seemed more effective for me. Replied in 3-4 days.
