Entering the US while File is at NVC

Hi :)

 

I wanted to ask a few question regarding to traveling. Right now our case is at UCSIS and we just got the NOA1, so we are basically really at the beginning. At this stage I was able to travel to the US with my ESTA and stay for 90 days. I am planing to travel to the US next year again with my ESTA:

 

- Does anyone know if you are allowed to enter the US with an ESTA once your file is at NVC?

Visiting is fine any time during the entire process assuming you can convince CBP that you will return to your country at the end of your visit if asked.  Many people visit their spouses during the process.

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..
