Hi all,

My sister is a US Citizen. She acquired her citizenship through my parents when they became Naturalized US Citizens before my sister turned 18.

Now, my sister is filing I-130 for her spouse. My sister doesn't have Naturalization Certificate or Certificate of Citizenship.

She just has her valid US Passport.

Is her US Passport sufficient to prove her US Citizenship when she files I-130 for her spouse ?

Yes as long as it is not expired.  https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-130instr.pdf page 6.

I suppose if it was renewed during the process, just upload the new one.

It is enough for an I-130.

It might be enough for the immigration visa or I-485. It depends on the what the case officer demands.
