No, the total wait them is from the receipt date on your i601A. Unfortunately, from the other support group that im with, the current wait time for Nebraska is around 22-26 months, and Potomac is way longer which is around 33-36 months. Plus if you're from Mexico, from the time you get your case closed with NVC is 2 years of waiting to get an interview at the embassy

How did you have an interview? At the Brazilian consulate?

It’s because I start my process in 2019 with a lawyer and she did the wrong process for me she did the  601 instead the 601A that’s  why I  have a case on NVC and they schedule my interview last may but I just had  start the right process on  end of April so now I don’t know if Have to start a new process in NVC or use the other one they have there .

Hi guys! I'm new here. I just wanted to share my experience and hoping to hear from others who's going through a similar process with me. We hired an attorney for I-130 ( I'm a spouse of a US citizen) and i601-A Provisional Unlawful Presence and here's my timeline so far:

1)  Submitted the I-130 on May 26,2021

2)  Received receipt on June 10,2021

3)  Approval received on July 11,2021, only 31 days after the receipt notice! Service center was Nebraska office and during the application the time frame for approval was 3-7 months so we just got super lucky that it got approved so fast, and we did not request expedited service.

SECOND PART IS THE WAIVER:

1) Submitted the I-601A Waiver on October 6,2021

2) Receipt date October 11,2021, Field office is at Potomac Service Center (estimated approval time is about 29 to 36 months) ------(UPDATES TO FOLLOW)-------

PLEASE if you're a 2018,2019,2020 I-601a filer, I would like to ask if you could share your experiences too like when did you submit the i-601a waiver, biometric appt, and how long it took to get your i-601a approval. It's very stressful and very uncertain and I wish it won't take years for me but I know we all need to wait in line and trust the process but if you guys could share some insight I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks so much!! :)

Hi, I've been following this FB support group and the members are very current with the timeline.

As of this date:

- For the Nebraska office, they're barely approving January 2020, it's around 24-27 months.
- For Potomac they're barely approving May 2019, 32-35 months.

I'm pretty sure you will hear the great news in about 1-3 months from now!

Hi, were you able to get your waiver? My husband will be interviewed in Manila in June and we have this waiver too. It's kinda nerve-wracking to let him go home.

Hello, I'm still currently waiting to get my i-601A waiver approved. I submitted it last October 2021 and it's still a long way before it gets approved. I am hoping I'll get mine approved within 36 month mark but it could be longer because USCIS is extending it out every cycle 😢 But regardless the way I think about it is that my turn will come one day and all I can do is to be patient.

Current timelines I'm seeing based on other applicants approvals are:

- Nebraska: 26-30 months

- Potomac: 35-39 months

It's nice to know that we're from the same country. I honestly don't know what to expect during the interview as I don't know anyone other than me doing this i-601A waiver from the Philippines. But per feedback from other countries like Mexico, Honduras and El Salvador it's not that bad. You just have to make sure you do your ds 260, do your medical/vaccinations before the interview date, attend the interview (make sure you bring all the original approval letters, proofs and docs), get approved, and wait for you passport. But I assume you've already completed these steps since your husband will have his interview next month June.

My question to you though is what's your husband's timeline? Date of 1-601a submitted? Date it was approved? How many months after the I-601A approval did you get the interview in the Manila embassy? I would really appreciate it. Thanks

Ours was way back 2019 and what our lawyer did was i-601a waiver first. When it was approved, that's when we did the petition but annoying part was that covid has already started when we got the waiver.

Notice Date: 04/05/2019

Service Center: NSC

Fingerprint: 04/26/2019

RFE: 11/14/2019

Case Approved: 02/19/2020

He is going to be finally interviewed on June 6, 2022. I hope everything goes smoothly. I also petitioned my mother and she was interviewed March 7 and mentioned that petitioners aren't allowed in the embassy because of the covid restrictions so I didn't bother to plan and go with him because of our two kids that's here with us.

Hi lurker and new member here. Any update of a manila embassy interview? Do you mind what your case was to apply for the 601a waiver?

Hello, He just had his medical at st lukes on June 2-3 and his interview will be on June 6 so I can give an update on Monday on what will happen. I'm very nervous but our lawyer said to calm down 😅

He had C1/D Visa and jumpshipped. He is unable to adjust status because of the visa restrictions on it.
