Hi guys! I'm new here. I just wanted to share my experience and hoping to hear from others who's going through a similar process with me. We hired an attorney for I-130 ( I'm a spouse of a US citizen) and i601-A Provisional Unlawful Presence and here's my timeline so far:

1)  Submitted the I-130 on May 26,2021

2)  Received receipt on June 10,2021

3)  Approval received on July 11,2021, only 31 days after the receipt notice! Service center was Nebraska office and during the application the time frame for approval was 3-7 months so we just got super lucky that it got approved so fast, and we did not request expedited service.

SECOND PART IS THE WAIVER:

1) Submitted the I-601A Waiver on October 6,2021

2) Receipt date October 11,2021, Field office is at Potomac Service Center (estimated approval time is about 29 to 36 months) ------(UPDATES TO FOLLOW)-------

PLEASE if you're a 2018,2019,2020 I-601a filer, I would like to ask if you could share your experiences too like when did you submit the i-601a waiver, biometric appt, and how long it took to get your i-601a approval. It's very stressful and very uncertain and I wish it won't take years for me but I know we all need to wait in line and trust the process but if you guys could share some insight I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks so much!! :)

Thanks for sharing your experience. I know it's still a long way to go since according to the USCIS time frames it's about 27.5 months to 36 months 😥...I'm really curious how the 2019 and 2020 filers are doing, and if any of them got approved yet?!  But I guess we'll have to wait for a very long time.. Please update me if you get your approval verrry soon! :)

Oh sorry to hear about that, it sucks that we entrusted and pay so much money for these attorney and they don't seem to care.. But at least now it's already there and submitted so I'm happy for you. I really hope and pray that it's only 1 year and a half because that's what most people say in the other posts but the thing is they filed from 2018 and 2019. I never heard anyone from at least 2020 and 2021 that's why it's making me sad that we might have to wait for the maximum time of 3 years and that seems so loooong! 😭

Oh wow! :) I was wishing my case will be at Nebraska but I am not super lucky with that.. I followed this Facebook support page for I-601A and the timeline is taking so long. Even the Nebraska people from 2019 and 2020 haven't received their approval yet :(

Hi everyone,

I filled by I-601A in November 2019. I got biometrics done in December 2019.

Since then, no new updates. Still waiting.

Potomac Office.

Oh wow 😯 It's taking so long. From what I have seen from other i601a support groups, Nebraska is taking 22 months the fastest, and some are still waiting  even at 30 month mark. For Potomac, it's currently 30 months or more 😢
