How to bring sister on student visa (split)

Hello folks

 

i hope you are all doing well and that everyone will have a good news regarding his/her application with uscis

 

 I have a question for you 

 

I am a permanent green card holder and I d like to bring my sister into USA on student visa…..which are the steps ? 
 

 

any advice will be very appreciated

If you want to bring her on a student visa (as opposed to live. work here or getting a greencard), then most of it is up to her.  You can offer to house her and even pay tuition fees, but she needs to apply to colleges and get in, and then apply for an F1 student visa.  Be aware that on a student visa, she cannot work or only very little (the usual restriction is maximum 20 hour, on campus only).

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
