Hi everyone!

My husband (German) and I (American) have been living together in Germany for the past 4 years. I have received a job offer back home starting Dec. 8th. I am not sure where to start with the DCF process? Do I have to email them first asking if I would be a viable candidate or can I just send the I-130 and my contract to the consulate already? Several e-mails I have tried come back with a 'failure to deliver' receipt.

I appreciate any help I can get! I'm a little worried I won't get everything done in time.

Thanks again!

Contact them and get permission to file directly.  It is their discretion, but it sounds like you have a good case, although your time is short.  You might have to leave after starting the process there.  Once the case is properly filed, you can return to the US while your spouse stays for the interview, etc.

Thank you! I sent them an email and they accepted my exceptional circumstance. I just sent the i 130 and the rest of the supporting documents yesterday. If that gets approved do you think I can go back or do I need to stay still? I know there are other packages that need to be sent, but my husband can obviously do that if I'm already gone I thought?

does anyone know if for this:

Proof of U.S. federal income tax returns: The most recent IRS-generated transcript of the most recent U.S. Federal Income Tax Return (1040) and W2s are required from all U.S. citizen sponsors/ joint sponsors. A person may obtain a free IRS-generated transcript by filing IRS Form 4506-T (Form IRS-4506-T) with IRS, Request for transcript of Tax Return.

K-visa applicants may present their petitioner’s Transcript of Tax Return, or their own assets as proof.

Can my sponsor just scan them to me? or does it have to be original??

On the I-1864a it asks for my parents total income (adjusted gross income on IRS form 1040EZ) as reported on my Federal income tax returns for the 3 most recent years,

my parents file jointly I believe and they don't have the 1040EZ, I have the numbers for their combined total and adjusted income, is that okay? I have never filed for myself and I'm not sure if they want the total or the adjusted since it says both in the instructions?

You either need the return with all of the attachments or the tax transcript.  You and one parent each files a I-864 and the other parent (household member) files the I-864a.
