Somebody wake me up when 1980 is over again. Jesus the madness in this country.

Just saw a video of what looked like 1000s and 1000s of future democrats marching to the border, chanting yes we can.

It just cost me 70 bucks to fill up instead of 26. That is with my 1 dollar per gallon kroger discount

We got 6 new cars on out lot instead of 270 and a 19 camry with 32k miles is going for more than it sold for new.

Bacon is 9 bucks per pound

We have an idiot in the white house who thinks climate change is the biggest problem in the country.  We have a serious transportation problem in this country and the transportation Secretary is on 2 months paid leave because he adopted a baby..

How can he destroy the country this quickly?

You know, I really wonder what would happen* if he did something really out-of-bounds and a parent slugged him.

Tell me about it.  We just made the decision to postpone moving to the U.S. for a year due to the mess in the U.S., and the high cost of moving now.

To add to or emphasize your list:

1.  In Oct. 2020 I was roughtly quoted 8-10k for a 20 foot container Subic Bay to Houston.  Just got a fresh quote.  At least 25k!  He said in 2019 just the container ocean part was $3200.  It is now $19500!

2.  Living in San Antonio is starting to worry me because of the border situation, but that is not a deal breaker.

3.  I was hoping to buy 2 cars as soon as we moved.  Looks like that would cost me 10-20 k more than I budgeted.  I found this handy graph:

https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/price-trends/

4.  Housing bubble has not yet burst in Texas.  It will probably take another year or two for prices to significantly fall back.  I don't want to buy in the early part of a housing downtrend.

5.  Inflations, empty store shelves, crazy stuff in schools, the list goes on.  We have 3 girls and my wife gets scared from of the stories she sees.  In particular, tonight I described the entire Loudon County situation, from the beginning to end, with the rape of a girl by a transexual in the girls bathroom, her dad arrested, parents as domestic terrorists....  How much crazier can it get?

about the only way buying a car right not could possibly make sense and only if you have to have one.  Buying new and not paying 1cent over MSRP and having a a decent trade with some equity. The increased value of your trade will offset, what use to would have been a nice discount off MSRP, that is not going to happen anymore, so you could possibly net out about the same you could have before all this.   In the end you could possibly be in the same position you would have been in a couple of years ago.

Buying used right now... Only if you have no other choice.  I would buy new without a trade before I would buy used right now. Used car prices are stupid.  When the used car market rights itself you dont want to have a lot of used in stock cause its going to be a 2008 housing market style blood bath

Many dealers are charging and getting way over MSRP on new. Our owner will not do it. Doesn't think it's right because when the ship rights itself people will remember.

Great for me because I have snapshots of our competitors windows stickers with a market adjustment up charge of anywhere from 4 to 10k depending on model. I just show them that and they sign right up.

Yes. I delivered  2 this month  that I actually sold last month and they waited on.  If we get a new RAV4, Camry etc on the lot it does not last long. Most folks willing to put a deposit and wait.

I know Honda won't let you "order" a vehicle, and I think Toyota operates the same way, NB?

But if the dealership has a car inbound on a manifest, I can put down a deposit and when it arrives in a month or three, it is MY vehicle.

By god.. you are Korrrect. They can also swap inventory with other dealers.
