Ombudsman success EAD?

Update: I received a call from Senator Masto Cortez’ office. He said that he spoke with USCIS Liaison and was told on the phone that the EAD will be approved. However, due to COVID delays, the actual EAD may not be ready for 1-2 weeks but they offered to write a letter saying that it will be approved as the job offer will expire on Oct 29th.

 

All of these could have been avoided: My mistake from all of these is trusting Senator Jacky Rosen’s office from Oct 1 to 22. My caseworker there just sent emails to USCIS instead of calling. She also ignored my calls so we only communicated via email. I lost about 3 weeks from this case worker at Sen Rosen’s office (Oct 1-22). I finally contacted another Senator’s office (Catherine Masto Cortez) and the caseworker actually called me within 24 hrs last Friday. Today, he said the case will be approved.

 

Tips for others: if the congress caseworker that you contacted is not doing something within 1 week, start calling the other member of congress.

Circling back on CIS Ombudsman result for readers who may be researching this in the future. The Ombudsman was fast in responding. I filled out the online form on Oct 24th, got a response from a person on Oct 25th and got a final response on Oct 28th. The outcome is not what I was hoping for. Basically, they told me to wait another 45 days from the date of their Oct 28th email to contact them again if it is not resolved yet by USCIS so they are not helpful if you have an urgent job offer that will expire.
