Non immigrant visa interview coming up while we have a pending k-1 visa

My fiancée has been in the process for over a year for her visitor visa from Mexico.  Due to Covid her interview has been postponed several times, but finally is scheduled for December 7, 2021.  We filed for a K-1 visa in July 2021.  She has family that is legally in the u.s and would like to visit, since this was her original intention, along with attention a class for a few days.  Would it hurt our K-1 visa if she went to her visitor visa interview and told her intentions.  She is employed in Mexico and her daughter goes to school.  We are doing everything the correct way by waiting, but I’ve read that it could be looked down upon due to a pending k-1 visa.  Thanks

Applying for a visitor visa will not harm the K-1 visa case.  However, the immigrant intent associated with a pending K-1 case could affect her visitor visa approval.   Good luck.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..
