Take any records you have of previous vaccinations to the medical exam. You should be able to obtain them in advance from your health provider. Check the list of required vaccinations for US immigration (they may vary based on age etc) and if you are missing any try to have them done by your doctor in advance of the medical. In my case there was some like MMR that weren't given when I was a kid so I was able to have these, and I had some boosters for other ones. Healthcare in the USA is expensive - much better in most cases to have these in your home country prior to coming to the USA if at all possible. It made my AOS much easier too as I was fully vaccinated as confirmed by my k1 medical.

We went through the process a few weeks ago in Rio

#1 Your fiancé must be vaccinated for covid-19 or you cannot complete the interview.

#2 The Doctor will determine what shots she or he needs and you can complete them in the clinic in the same building and return to the DR with the shot record

My fiancé needed 4 and her daughter needed 2 and it cost me about $150.00

#3 Make sure you have competed the DS -160, paid the fees and keep all receipts for the embassy.

Our process went like this,

Monday was the Fingerprints and Chest X-rays (Must be completed in advance of seeing the Doctor)

Tuesday =Free Day in Rio

Wednesdays =Free Day in Rio (We did organize all our documents)

Thursday= Doctors Exam, He required the shots and we got them done, returned to his office and completed the exam.

Friday= Embassy Interview, I hired a driver from our hotel, as my fiancé and her daughter could not have a phone or anything not related to the interview.

We had all the required documents and copies for the embassy.

She arrived early, waited about 1 hour, was ask to proved documents, she was seated another hour or two, was finally called and asked for proof of our relationship

She provided pictures, travel documents etc.

The interviewer was very nice according to my Fiancé and said Congratulations, you are approved.

We are now waiting for the embassy to return her documents so she can fly to the US, so far it has been 3 weeks.
