Hello Everyone,

So my spouse had interview on October 18 in Kathmandu, Nepal. Her interview went pretty well but she got handed a form where it mentions petitioner's divorce certificate is required to approve the case and also needs to be uploaded at NVC portal. We went back home and uploaded divorce certificate at NVC. When I checked today, I see the document has been accepted. I also submitted certified divorce copy to Embassy with Passport [In Nepal, You have to submit to bank and then they send it to Embassy].

Could anyone tell how long normally it takes for embassy to review that document and put stamp at the passport? Since it shows divorce certificate 'Accepted' at the NVC website, does that mean Embassy approved it?

NVC acceptance just means NVC thinks it's a correct document.  A month or so is normal for Consulates to complete a review of requested documents.

No, it does not.  No telling whether the embassy staff have even seen it yet.
