Go there, once it says issue you're good.

Congrats, a medical thing is no biggie, should be issued in a week or so.

Second that! Use the link above to check the status. Once it said "Issued", I got my passport 2 days after. Btw, the "status" on the consular website (where I registered my appointment) still says "Appointment" :)) so I wouldn't trust the info there. The link above has the most up-to-date info regarding your visa. Congrats, you're almost there!!

I recently had my medical, a few days ago , I just realized they never asked for a urine sample. Only bloodwork?

Same, I called Telus after my medical (three weeks ago) because I was wondering if it was a mistake, since they never asked me for one either, but I was told it was no mistake. I thought I saw someone having to give one a while ago, but differences in age (as mentioned by thenextman) would explain it!

Hi!

Anybody had their medical at Telus in Montreal this month and received (or not) confirmation of the results?

I had my medical on March 8th and still waiting for the results to go to the consulate (who are waiting on that to issue my visa). When making my appointment and the 3 times I've called since, they insist the time frame is 5 business days - but don't have much to say when I ask why we're beyond that...). The clinic itself insist the time frame is 10-15 business days.

I'm struggling to believe anything they say; when I called yesterday they said the doctor was reviewing the file. When I called today, the told me the doctor wasn't even in the office yesterday!!

I'm trying to figure out some kind of baseline of how long this "normally" takes or has taken for other people....

Thanks!!

My application is IR1. I was DQ’d on 1/11/2023, got IL today with interview appointment on 5/5. No expedited processing.

Can you please fill out your timeline.  Once complete, let @Hawk Riders know and you can be added to the spreadsheet.

Well, in the end I found out that Telus submitted my results to the consulate yesterday, so that reflects 9 business days since the exam.

If I wanted to be proactive and poke the consulate regarding my case (I understand it's probably not worth it, but I'd like to try) does anyone know if there's an email or enquiry form that would be best to use? I know some of you have emailed the consulate in the past but it's hard to search this thread and I can't seem to find that information online...

Thanks in advance!

Had my interview today! I got in line outside at 8:40, my appointment was at 9:15. Security had people go in according to their appointment time. After going through security, I was in the waiting room at 9:15. And while I wasn't called before 9:45 the first time, I was out of the building at 10:20. Everything went smoothly. I was called twice, they asked for the papers mentioned on the list (birth and marriage certificates, police certificate, etc.), also for my husband's tax transcript and his proof of citizenship, and my fingerprints were taken. The interview was short, I was asked the usual questions (how and when we met, where we're going, if I was ever denied entry in the United States, etc.).

The interviewing officer didn't want to confirm his decision, he said “the system has to check a few things, like your fingerprints, but if nothing comes up, I'll approve your visa by the end of the day”. And it was marked “ISSUED” on the website by 1:30pm!!!! 😃 He said my passport would be returned to me within two weeks—but when I expressed my surprise, he said “sometimes it takes two days, sometimes it takes two weeks”... I'll keep you updated.

One comment: many people didn't seem to expect they would have to wait outside, and they weren't dressed accordingly. It was very cold, and they were freezing. I guess people who read this forum know about this, but be prepared to wait outside a bit!

This is such a long and stressful process, I can hardly believe I'm at the end. This forum and everybody has been so helpful, I really appreciate it. I'll let you know how long it takes for me to get the passport.

I'm really sorry you're going through this whole thing. I unfortunately can't help, but I hope it'll get resolved ASAP.
