Hi everyone,

I am trying to schedule our interviews and its saying there's only two days left with availabilities for interviews in October. Each day has one time.

How is this supposed to work for an IR1 and IR2?  Do they expect my teenager to go in alone for her appointment since I can find one together?

I tried emailing the consulate but they are so backlogged taking a while to respond to people

Didn't you get an interview letter with date and time on it? I registered my interview and got courier service but it's the same date and time as were on my letter.

No, not with expedite.

I got a hold of someone from us visa-info.com and he helped me book two appointments for the same day. He was super helpful!

I have one confusion, I am a Indian citizen living in Canada. I am on a work permit. My wife is a US citizen filed for me. My question is does it affect that I am not PR or citizen in Canada to my case? Am I in a right queue for the interview or what? Does it make a difference on my case? My case DQ’d on 27 June. Thank you in Advance

Hi, I'm also in the same boat. On Work Permit and did a public inquiry to change the consulate to Montreal. Have you got the IL ? Also, how you plan your vaccine checklist ?

What kind of expedite request you tried ? My Priority date is Dec. 12, 2019 and waiting so long.. I came to Canada on a work permit and requested for a consulate change here. DQ on Aug, 2022. Is ther any possibility I can expedite ?

What’s your category?

We are Ir1 and ir2.

From what I read in many places is that it’s very difficult with MTL to get an expedite request approved.

I just read your ir1. If you just got DQ in august, I imagine you will have an IL in the new year.

I haven’t got my IL. I haven’t checked that if I can get vaccines before Interview letter. Does anybody know if I can get the required vaccines before I get my interview letter?

Unlike India, you have to get the vaccines before you go for Visa Medicals. Atleat that's the case in Toronto. Check with website wher you intend to have medicals.

Only New year ? what about December ? My passport will expire in July 2023 and I'm afraid by the time interview comes like you mentioned, it hav only less than 6 monhts validity. What to do ?

Those that were DQ the first 3 weeks of June just got their Interview Letters for October. I don't see August DQ Interview Letters going out until December, for January or February.

If I were you I would update your passport now so you have enough time to get it back and do a rush service at Service Canada, since passports are taking 3 months or so to process for regular times.

Just go to your doctor and get the vaccines that you are missing. You don't need an interview letter to get vaccines :)

You are well within normal processing times for the Montreal consulate.  The chances of an expedite are slim to none.  There has to be pretty extraordinary circumstances for an expedite to be approved.

As for your passport, talk to the Indian consulate in Toronto about renewal.

Also, keep in mind that you may end up in extended AP or asked to fill out the DS-5535.  No one wants to see this handed to anyone, but the reality is Montreal is seemingly handing them out like candy on Halloween.  This note is just as an awareness for everyone.
