how does it work, getting back into US with I-131

my wife is here in the US now with me, we filed I-485 about 2 months ago together with I-131.

 

we got NOA for the I-485 and did the biometrics appointment last week. however we didn't see any notification that we filed a I-131

 

if we want to travel out of the US, how will my wife get back in? is the I-131 in the INS computer? or is she in need of some kind of paper document?

If she leaves without an APPROVED advance parole document, she will abandon her adjustment.   That could take up to 8 months. The NOA1 receipt, itself,  for the I-131 will not allow her to re-enter.

so is that something they will send us since we filed the i-131 already?

It will likely come in the form of a combo card (EAD/AP document) if she also filed an I-765 in 6-8 months .

yes that is correct. nowhere outside US border

So you didn't received a NOA for the I-131? You might want to inquire about that.
