Did they confirm receiving the medical report?

I inquired twice through the website after the second inquiry the status changed to issued.

Yes, they confirmed receiving the medical exam and passport.

I will submit an inquiry now then, thanks!

I hate thinking this is some awful black hole of waiting. Honestly, anything but that… so much of my life is on hold right now. Worse, my surgery is coming up and I have no idea if I can expedite this thing so late in the process.

Anyone else currently in AP? It's been 6 weeks waiting in AP. I have seen from others on here that it can take any number of months.

I have tried inquiring and calling the embassy directly. I have no idea what is the hold up. I am sure they are also probably all on vacation now.

Has anyone else recently been issued a visa? Have some of your fiancé's made it to the US safely by now?

Did they confirmed that they have received your medical?

My fiance had interview the same day as yours and I know of one more person. They both were in AP for about 3 weeks and change and then visa was issued.

I know your medical was missing so that definitely can be a factor.

AP is one of those things that Noone can answer. I sent an inquiry on the embassy contact page after the second week but I never even received a response. I hope this settles soon for you.

Thanks Mitzab, I have been sending Inquiries, all have been responded very vaguely.

Submitted a third inquiry Monday in which I asked:

Dear Consular Officer, We have submitted all required documents to the post. Please tell us what is missing and/or keeping us in AP status.

This is their reply today:

Dear Applicant,

Our records mentioned that your medical report is uploaded by the panel physician and available in our system.

Please be prepared to experience significant delays in further processing of your case.  As of March 17, 2020, the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad suspended routine visa services.  We will resume routine services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time.

We appreciate your patience during this time.

Sincerely,

The Immigrant Visa Unit

U.S. Embassy Pakistan

Inconclusive besides confirmation finally that they have the medical report. Feels very generic unfortunately....

Seriously 😳

I am so sorry that you are going through this.  Hoping and praying that you get good news soon.

So much anxiety with this whole process. I did a lot of research on AP when my fiance was in one,  there was nothing I found anywhere that stated anything that would speed up or even get an answer. If they have his passport, if they told him everything looks good minus the medical then I am sure it's just a matter of days.
