Hi vj family. Am a 2020 oct filler, my lawyer had filled a full package for me using her address, but the i765 she filled was for C31, in April I read here that C31 take time to be approved as it works hand in hand with i360. I mailed my lawyer to change the applying C09 which she did in april 2021 I got receipts for. I received PF in January but  till date no EAD and am currently out out of work. Please is there anything I could do to help get my EAD on C09? Please am frustrated I need help.

If you are experiencing any hardship. You can always expedite EAD. You can reach out to your congress/senator person. You can even write to Vermont and send all the documents.

I have a question in regard to looking up the case status using a receipt number.

My sister is currently applying for a VAWA green card. It's really a bogus case. She never experienced any sort of abuse. She came to the USA as a tourist, got married to a man 30 years older than her, and the man never applied for a green card so she's been without papers for 15 years. Three years ago they divorced, no children. She does not want to go back to her home country so she's claiming he abused her. No police records, no evidence of abuse, never mentioned it to anyone. I know my sister and she didn't experience any sort of abuse. She's a habitual liar and will say anything to get her way.

I look at women who have truly been abused and it sickens me to see my sister take advantage of the VAWA application and make the process longer for others who have really been abused.

Anyway my father has been bankrolling her since the divorce. At first she was able to work (she never did but had the paper) however she doesn't have that permission any longer. She keeps telling my father that it will just be a little bit longer until her green card is approved.

My father wanted to see proof of the case status so he wanted her to show the status of the case using the receipt number. My sister said this isn't possible since it was privacy protection against the abuser. The only want to look the case up is to go to a government office and access it through there. My sister said that even she can't look up the status online using the receipt number. The lawyer has said the same thing.

The lawyer is charging $6000 for the service. I'm a bit skeptical they are doing things correctly.

My question is: under any circumstance is it not possible to look up the status online using the receipt number? And the only want to go this is to goto the government office and access it in person?

Your sister is not telling the truth.  She can see her status update.  The issue is it accurate.

Hey guys, have you ever heard that someone's VAWA was revoked, and what are the reasons? We discussed here couple days ago about my case status changed from " approved" to "correspondence was received " after 11 months of the approval. I found some old thread 9 years ago on another site where the same thing happened to one guy. Unfortunately  tread is not active anymore and I couldn't talk to him. Any advise?

C31 and C09 EAD are two different . C31 is issued when your I-360 is approved (if you marked yes on the application ) . You can get C09 (pending AOS)EAD if you are eligible to apply for I-485 . For you to be able to get C09 you have to have I-485 pending .
