She asked for their birth certificates, then my divorce decree, yes or no question and that was it. She later gave me a paper that after background check, they will make a decision. 
After 10 mins, I got update that my card is being produced. I’m so happy this is the end of the journey since 2016 I got married to my abuser . Filed Vawa 2018.

Wow this is amazing congratulations. Can you please Share When you filme i485 and which was your local uscis office.  What a blessing!

You question is confuse, but if you are asking if he can file for asylum now, the person must file an asylum application within one year of his/her arrival to the U.S. To overcome the asylum-one year filing deadline he must prove the occurrence of extraordinary circumstance otherwise the USCIL will deny his application.

Thanks. I filed I360 and I485 March 2018, got RFE June 2020, responded Aug 2020. Got my C31 card Jan 2021 and Vawa approved June 2021, Interview today Nov 9th

The question is for friend . Her 485 case transferred to nbc then back to Vermont. Did you have same experience? What they transferred back to Vermont

Noted! I don’t have my divorce decree yet. I just filed it a few months ago, so I’ll just bring a copy of whatever I have to prove it’s been filed. That would be good, right? Thank you so much for all that you do, @sandranj!!! 💚💚💚

Hi! Where in NY are you? I have found Rep. Grace Meng and her team very helpful. Aside from sending them an email, I suggest you also call your district representative and talk to them and explain your situation. I got my VAWA Approved in March 2021 and interview was scheduled last month for Nov. 17.

I have a question, my vawa approved april of this year, on October 6 I sent a renewal for my I-765 (c9) to vsc 38 river rd saint Albans vt. I however still have not received a receipt notice. My question is did I send it to the right location?

That's where I sent it too. Based on the filing addresses listed on USCIS website. Inquire through senator or congressman.

Thank you @shiva32 do you know if any in specific who would be helpful? I am in westchester ny, and how long did it take you to get a receipt notice after sending?
