What are the consequence of working without EAD? He had F1 EAD prior and during his marriage, his wife made him lost his job and status both, he filed VAWA but now working with his SSN and getting paid by payroll, honestly dont know how but for few months already doing this, just got to know about it. Will it cost him dearly? I asked him to stop working till get his EAD but damage is already done. TIA

If he filed vawa and concurrently filed for work permit, he should wait for it to work lawfully.

Working without a permit is unlawful. Tell your friend to respect the laws of the country he is seeking to stay in legally. He can apply for government benefits with prima facie meanwhile.

Hello dear group.  Can  everyone tell me which date of I 360 they working right now Bcz I  was apply my case sine dec. 2019  . 
and also I apply my work permit for renewal. In March 2021  I ma still waiting.  I lost my job. I ma so sad

@Shroy123 Thank you very much for checking on me. Just logged in after a long time. My case is still pending. Funny huh?! Case approved on Sep 30 2019. Sent 2nd inquiry for congressman a few days ago. I don't know what to do at this point. God knows. . .

Most recent approval I know of on the forum was from nov 12, 2019 - my case. Unless you got an rfe previously, you should definitely hear something (hopefully approval, of course) in a month or two. 

 

As to EAD renewal, they are taking as long as they can in many cases, like 13 months. I applied for renewal for c9 EAD in Feb 2021. Even sent expedite request last week for c9 ead. (I got the c31 card production update on Monday Nov 1st). 

 

Please consider sending expedite request based on USCIS expedite criteria for the C9 EAD, link for criteria is below. You can try financial losses as a criterion, for example.

I didn’t receive anything about my medical but I still did it just 2 days ago, just so I’m ready ☺️. I passed my medical in 2017 before I filed VAWA. I doubt that is still valid. Thank you! I’m going by myself so I hope it will all go well 🤞🏼

Sharing my timeline in case anyone is in the same boat. I got my C31 renewed.

 Received Date - February 8th 2021

 I-797 - February 25th 2021

Card produced - October 15th 2021 

 

I applied for my I-485 on July 2020 after I-360 approval. My field office is Brooklyn, NY. Can any Brooklyn filers shed light on how long it took to get an interview date or a medicals request notice?
