Good evening family,

 

I applied to renew my EAD on January 2021 exactly 6 months before expiration date.

Now my automatic extension expires in December and I’m starting to get anxious..

Last time I applied for renewal it took 3 months.

can it be that they want to send me c31?(I’m Jan 2020)

Does someone knows what’s going on?

I reached out to uscis to find out my case was taking a long time and they say it went to national benefits center ? Has anyone any experience with this ? Does reaching out and getting a reply speed it up?

Same here, I applied for EAD renewal in February 2021, no response so far. My automatic extension expires in December as well. I sent inquiry through senator's office three weeks ago, no response on that either. Given that USCIS processing time for EAD is up to 13 months, sending expedite request remains the only option that might pan out to get EAD in time. Please read expedite request criteria in link below and see if you can make a case for any of those criteria.

I sent my EAD renewal more than one year ago , on sept 2020 and still waiting. I applied for vawa on November 2019 and still waiting as well.

 

Anyone in the same situation?

That reply you were given is a pretty standard template copy pasted by some lazy officer who had nothing much to say other than your case is still pending. Besides they will RFE before denial if at all, and many times the RFE’s are easy like good moral character certificate or shared residence.

So my experience with my congresswoman was exceptional throughout my immigration journey. And they invited me to town hall meeting too to show support for re-election for the congress lady who eventually won another term.

Therefore, my good people, do make use of the congress representative of your instinct. They are there to help you.
