Hi lately Sen. Gillibrand's office is not active as before. Her office was very active and fast before Covid.

I would suggest reach out to your congress person. I had success with congress person.

Yup! I agree. I reached out to Rep. Grace Meng’s office and after 4 days I got an update on my I485 and now online it shows that my interview has been scheduled already. On Friday, I reached out again to Rep. Meng to have my address changed and get a copy of my interview notice. I’m really anxious to know when my interview is.

I don’t think it means VAWA application being approved. The person is talking about getting a work permit . VAWA application is handled exclusively  by their special Unit on Vermont Service Center .

Sorry, yes i mean 765, I should have been more descriptive, but it is new to see 765/131 is getting approved despite sending at different USCIS office.

@Stillwinning!!!😊 Hi Dear! Thanks for your response. I tried reaching out to Senator Gillibrand but her office hasn’t been responsive lately but I’m in contact with my district congresswoman now.  How long did it take you to get a copy of the notice after asking help from Sen. Gillibrand?

Okay good! 👍 so it took about 4 days after

her office contacted USCIS. But like I always say…different timeframes for different times/situations. I’m rooting for you hon.🥰

Hello, hope everyone is having a good week. I’m new here but I’ve been reading all your responses and they are encouraging.
I applied for 1-360 in may 2019 and still waiting. 29months and it’s been miserable. No work permit nothing no family. It’s hard. I talked to the Congress office and got this response which makes my life more miserable than it already is. And I’m in nursing school. So my life is hell. Are they really going to deny me after waiting 29months?? God I wouldn’t even know where to start from.

It’s a typical language for them to be vague . Talk a lot but say nothing strategy . The key sentence on this email to focus is “your constituent demonstrated substantial likelihood of being a victim “ Hopefully you will get good news soon enough before New Year . Is your work permit still pending ?

Yes, still pending.  I don’t have money to apply for the green card yet or the other category, so I’m under C31. And the lawyer wants more money . I don’t have a job to pay for that. I wish I could put everything together myself.  29months is a long time I’m going crazy and cry every day.

I feel your pain . If you are eligible to apply for I-485 and get 765 EAD . There are a lot of people who can help you fill out the form here .
