Hello all! Today I dropped off my medicals in federal Plaza NYC. Followed the lawyer's instructions but when home I recognized that I was supposed to attach on top of the envelope the notice I received. Feel stupid for not double-checking before blindly following what I was told to do. What am I supposed to do now? Can't believe I made my first mistake in the very last step. Please @sandranj let me know if you have tips for this issue. Will this turn into a huge issue?

Hi, could you please share when did you file for i485 ?

I received the notice of approval, followed by the oath ceremony instructions for next month.

Wow!  Great!

the officer was VERY rude and unpleasant. She questioned my eligibility and insisted on changing my name back to before marriage

Hardest thing to remember in such a situation is to calmly insist that her supervisor join you for the interview.

Now I have to deal with the problem of correcting my name which I hope someone will assist me with during the oath ceremony.

Someone will help.

Keep us apprised of how it goes/went.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Hi everyone,

can someone please guide me through the process of changing the address? Do I just fill out a form or do I have to write a letter?

and where can I submit the documents or forms to change address? Can I submit online? Or does it have to be mailed by postal services?

thank you 🙏

Fill the form of address changed.

Write a letter including your new address with your signature + a copy of your ID and mailed it to Vermont.

They won't recognize any online stuff when it's vawa related.

After that, you can also submit a USPS change of address if you want.

Hi all, i just got a notification for form I-485 stating, ‘correspondence are was received and uscis is reviewing it’. My I-360 is not approved yet( feb26,2020) And I didn’t sent nothing. Any idea?

Yeah, I got the same update last July 2021.

I did not of course sent any correspondance. But after one of my congressperson inquiries, I discovered that it was my form I-485 moving internally from my field office to Vermont.

That update has been like that on my form i-360 since July and hasn't changed till date.

As they are now working on January 2020 filers, hope it is a good sign for us.

Im a Feb 2020 filer as well

My lawyer says most likely it’s a glitch! Today is exactly two years i filed for my I-360. The waiting is the hardest part. I just hope we all get approved soon.

I’m a January 2020 filer and haven’t got any update on my case since March 2020. Really stressful but hopefully we all get the approvals soon 🙏

I think uscis works almost everyday, depending on the services. Except, federal public holidays.

They sometimes conduct interviews on Saturdays .

Some key officers even worked at home and just come to office only to collect files and for supervisory attentions and updates.

Rhema, so the update you got is for your form I-485 or form I-360?

This was on my form I-360.

It is the last update I had on that form since July 2021.
