Good night everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knows if lenders will will give me a hard time for trying to purchase a house with only my Ead? Will the fact that I am not a permanent resident as yet be an issue?

thank you all

I bought my house with EAD, all my lender needed was for my EAD to be valid for at least a year. I also provided the lender with copies of my previously authorized EAD and I was able to purchase a $400k house in Colorado. Hope this helps.

Good day all,

Please can anyone clarify this new update of VAWA guidance.

"USCIS no longer requires self-petitioners to currently reside or to have resided in the past with the abuser during the qualifying spousal or parent-child relationship. Instead, USCIS has updated its interpretation of the statute to require self-petitioners to demonstrate that they currently reside or have resided with the abuser at any time in the past when filing the self-petition "

Hi all, I have come to the conclusion that Uscis Vermont May not answer our queries.

But they don't ignore any request sent to them by the congressional liaison.

Do not hesitate to use this tools whenever you want an answer from Vermont vawa unit. 😀😀😀

Hi @Demise @sandranj @TBoneTX

I got my 10 year GC under vawa and I want to travel to my homecountry to visit my dad. However, I have an arrested record without conviction. I was arrested because my ex spouse lied to the police and the police arrested me for domestic violence. Because DA dropped the case, I did not present at the court and just received dismissed letter and women shelter helped me to to gain a restraining order against my exspouse. Can you please advise if the arrest record without conviction will not allow me to re-enter to the US after my travelling to my homecountry?

I greatly appreciate your advice

Vermont does not reply back.

I wrote once but no reply.

I sent few letters as advised by USCIS representatives every time I call them they say I need to write to Vermont due to VAWA case. What a big lie, I told them Vermont never responds.
