@sandranj @Stillwinning!!!😊 i want to ask if my i485 interview letter would be sent to my old lawyer or my new lawyer that filed my vawa ..the i485 and i130 was filed by former  lawyer ,the i485 was put in abeyance for my vawa ,they didn’t deny it cause I told them on the interview date that I filed vawa and I was asked to bring receipt for the vawa ..but I changed the lawyer that filed my i485  when I filed my vawa ,..this question has been on my mind to ask and I will be so happy if I can be answered by the house , I contacted my Congress and they told me that the uscis told them that my i485 is at the local office waiting on the queue for interview, but the Congress woman emphasized on address ..

The lawyer I used for my i130 to file my i485 is different from the lawyer I used for my vawa..I changed my lawyer when I wanted to file my vawa, but the question I want to ask now is that will my interview later be sent to my old lawyers address or my vawa lawyer address ..please should I just fill out another G-28 form by my lawyer and send to the local office just to be on  a safer side ,cauze the local office said if I dnt hear back from them within 60 days that I should contact my congress again ..I’m thinking of going to my lawyer again and telling him to let us fill another G-28 form putting his address so as to be on a safer side !! Please advised me on what to do ..thanks ..

‘Another g-28…’ this confirms you had sent a prior one informing USCIS of your current representative. They should already have the information. Besides you can always get a copy of the interview notice from your congressperson when it becomes available. Discuss with your attorney if you should resend the g-28 or not. My input for now.👍

I guess if you get police clearance then you should be good but experts may have better opinion

Thank you for your reply, I did talk to my lawyer and she said Order of protection isn’t proof of a crime and There was no conviction and no admission of guilt. The fact that you've been voluntarily in a program only speaks to your good character to want to learn and grow.

I did get fbi fingerprint and state police clearance with result record not found.

I would make sure that you provided all the details, court records - certified, and never lie about the issue.

No one here can answer this other than @sandranj

Which means there shouldn't be a problem.

I think that at this point, you should  just wait for your interview to be scheduled.

You will then see on the interview notice the list of required documents to bring.

You're still in the waiting game period of time. Nothing much to do.

Just relaxed and keep praying for everything to go well.

Kindly regards.

USCIS provides an excellent Office Locator on their website, where you can search for a particular office by Zip Code or State. Please visit USCIS office locator, then go from there.. you should be able to see your nearest USCIS office.👍

Very odd part about NBC is that my lawyer had 20+ Family Based I-485 application filed after 09/2020 and all of them already had an interview at USCIS Chicago office.

Looks like VAWA I-485 cases at NBC are not following that pattern if we assume that my case was transferred to NBC back in Jun/July of 2020.

Same here,, transfer March 2020,, no interview no green card yet uffff
