Hello everyone !
My lawyer received a letter FROM USCIS  for biometrics for my I-485 .. they are giving us short notice .. we received the letter today and the appointment is Tuesday January 18 !

now iam outside the united states i lost my passport and iam applying for anew one ! Iwill not be able to travel this week because i don’t have my passport and it's taking time to get the new one

I was thinking to reschedule the appointment but unfortunately they are closed weekend and Monday too because of the holiday !
what should we do in in this situation !

help me please ?

Do you know when would you be back?

I know someone who missed his appointment and went back after 3 weeks and they took his finger prints.

But that does not mean it would work for you as well.

Hey guys,

so I found out today all the stuff my husband had been planning.
how he plans to divorce me

how he plans to upgrade from me

how he is using me for only sex.

he filled my I-130 and sponsorship form which are still pending . The thing is I want to switch vawa based on what I saw. I have evidence that I can attach to the form.  Do you guys think my case is a case of vawa?

Even psychological violence and torture are causes for abuse and if well detailed are good for vawa.

Follow this thread and you will be get a lot of informations how to go about yours.

Be courageous and may God strengthen you.

Hi  @Demise   and other who have gone through this process, I am trying to figure out I485 processing steps. My I485 was filed in Feb 2020. They transferred my I485 to NBC in late 2020, for "faster processing." My I-360 VAWA was approved 11/22/21. How long should I wait for medicals RFE / Interview notice / I693 deficiency notice before I reach out to senator again? I have not received any I485 transfer notice to field office yet. Should I expect such a transfer notice to field office? And how do I calculate out of normal processing time? Using I485 processing time posted for my field office (St. Louis, Mo)?

It counts from the time the I-360 is approved, before that they do literally nothing aside initial review with an I-485. You can hit up your representative anyways and just see what USCIS says. Worst case you'll get a "it's done when it's done" answer.

What is the motive of the letters? To get updates about your I-360 or to expedite EAD? I requested for expedition of my Ead

Just to update me about my case...

They should have send me some reply at least and they have never done that.

I'm trying to contact a Congressman but they ignored my emails so far. :(

You mean the congressman also ignored your emails. Though I sent a letter to Vermont past wednesday and contacted my congressman via email last Friday requesting for the expedition of my EAD based on Humanitarian grounds. I am yet to get a response from either of the two offices

they will only expedite EAD, if it affects your employment (loss of job) or you will lose the ability to gain employment (they will not hire you without EAD).  Otherwise it will be denied.

32 months still waiting 😭 May 2019 filer! Was forced to click on out of processing inquiry on the 7th of Jan. Yesterday I received a I693 deficiency letter on my daughters I485. If ya’all remember, I filed another I485 for my daughter when they insisted on not reopening her I485 after filing for Vawa even though they reopened mine. They also sent the I693 initially when we first filed it back on June 2021 but they wrote there not to do anything about it unless they tell us to or we get an interview.

My question is, is this a good sign (even though it’s on my daughters I485 and not mine) or I should not hold my breath?

Also, we both did the medicals initially when my ex filed for us on the original I485 back in 2017, couldn’t they have reused that since they renewed her EAD without the medicals?

" was forced to click on out of processing inquiry" What do you mean ?????

Hello,

Today, I received the receipt notices for my 360, 765, 485 and 131 with received date of January 6th. On the other hand, on January 10th, NBC issued a denial for my previous I-485 because I-130 was withdrawn in December. The notice says since 130 was withdrawn, I have no basis for I-485, it is being denied and I should either file a motion to reconsider or reopen or leave the country in 33 days or I'll be issued an NTA. Along with VAWA I had also sent hold in abeyance letters to both NBC and FO which apparently they completely ignored. What should I do to avoid getting an NTA at this point? submitting 290B? but does that make sense since I already have new pending 485 and 765 applications...can they still reinstate the denied 485 and 765. Also, 290B form is about $675 and I'll need an attorney for filing the motion. Will filing the motion help in any way, or can we send the new receipt notices to NBC along with a letter so they don't refer me to immigration court? Would really appreciate your help in this emergency situation @Demise @sandranj @HustlingStill

Thank you

If you filled new i485 the old will no longer be valid. You cannot have two i485 it confuses uscis . You are fine, because you have new i485 and i765 you do not need to do anything.

Thank you. If I don't do anything, can they issue me an NTA? I want to avoid that completely.

Hi

I don't think it will be wise for you to file any motion to reopen that case.

Just rely on your new I-485 for all the other cases are henceforth linked to that.

USCIS will not put you in a removal procedure or NTA because you have also a pending I-360.

Before it comes to this, they always find out to see whether there is no other pending qualifying cases with them linked to your Alien number.

Or,  in my own point of view, if you are still afraid, you can still send to them, along with the denial letter a copy of your new I-485 and I-360 receipt of notice.

In all cases, you are good.
