Hmm, apparently the mostly peaceful protesting has not stopped in Portland.

The unfortunate thing here is the number of people that were outraged over a protest that got out of hand for a few hours in DC, but are just fine with this type of protest.  I guess those in DC are special or something, so anything that happens there is way beyond compare.  Those folks mostly vote Democrat or are big supporters of the self-important political types.  Meanwhile, the Democrat controlled cities are left in destruction, with a lot of simian pooh all over the streets.

When I lived in Portland, this was also a thing, so yes totally relevant. People doing these break ins are usually the most desperate people, looking for something they can steal for petty cash to buy drugs with. I'm not sure they're in the right frame of mind to heed a sign and think "Ah how silly of me! Better not touch that car!" Garage break ins happen for similar reasons in Portland (probably in SF, too.)

 

I've heard about the mysterious "breaking in the car to sleep there overnight" phenomenon as well. Never known anyone personally who that happened to, but apparently that's also a motive to break into a car in these areas with high homeless populations especially in areas that get colder at night. But, even then, the real kicker is the catalytic converter thefts. There's really no way to protect against that unless you get one of those special secure things installed on it under your car. I moved out of Portland and now live in a quiet suburb where this kind of stuff doesn't happen, I don't regret moving away. I still have family in Portland and the situation has become very bad there, especially with violent crime/shootings, something the city previously was not that known for, but since the pandemic it's really increased.

My buddy is a general contractor handyman and had a job in San Francisco for a friend of his wife.  He just bought a new truck and never considered taking it there.  He rented a car instead, and that was over a year ago.  Btw, since car thefts/break-ins are an epidemic there, shouldn’t Fauci get on the case?

The biggest threat facing our country is climate change. Pay attention 

 

My biggest fear is after their insane socialist policies and defend the police insanity fail and those places become Biffs back to the future,  they will move here.
