questions about the ds-260

hello, I've recently submitted a DS-260 for my wife and another for my step-daughter, they are coming to the US from Kazakhstan and i had a few question

1. My wife overstayed a tourist visa last year in south korea and went through the korean protocol when leaving. She received a certificate of deportation. guidance that was given to me from a person in the military immigration office on my post was that when answering the question," Have you ever been removed or deported from any country? " to select no, because it was not the U.S. Since then I have been thinking about it constantly and don't believe this to be true. so any clarification on that would be appreciated.

2. In the event that I would be changing my answer on the ds-260, would it still require a police certificate from Korea? we had asked before she left and the country would not allow us to have one because at that point she was an overstayer and not in country legally.

3. since filing the DS-260 my wife was able to obtain vaccination documents for her and our daughter. at the time of submitting the ds-260 we were unable to and had selected no on the question of if we had the documentation, while also leaving a note on that answer stating we will be collecting them as soon as possible and will get any missing vaccinations prior to the interview. should I also update this question now that we have the documentation?

i appreciate any help, so far everything else with the process has been going well and faster than expected. thank you very much

It's required either way if she lived in SK for 12 months or more: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/SouthKorea.html "South Koreans and foreigners living outside Korea can obtain a police certificate at a Korean Embassy or Consulate. The requestor should download the police certificate request application from the official KNPA website at minwon.police.go.kr (accessible by clicking on the “civil format” link under the “customer center” tab) and apply for the certificate in person at a Korean Embassy/Consulate."

Answer is "Yes." The answer can be corrected at the interview.

Thank you very much for the answer. another question has come up. at the time of submitting the affidavit of support i had only 2 complete tax returns to submit. i have since finished my 3rd from 2018 and am wondering how to submit it. do I contact the nvc to open back up the affidavit? thanks in advance.

The issue for 2018 is not necessarily to submit the return, but if had not yet been filed, there is missing information on your I-864.
