Do you have any experience or advice on how to use the I-601 waiver to exempt from vaccination requirements? In the I-601 form Section 212(g)(2)(C), it says you must establish with evidence that you are opposed to vaccinations in any form, that your objection is based on religious beliefs or moral convictions, and that your convictions are sincere. What is your experience with the vaccination requirements and the I-601 waiver?

A member just posted, a few days ago, that he was able to successfully obtain a vaccine waiver.  I think he said it took a year for approval, and it cost him about $1400 (including attorney fees).  My question was (and still is), how do you plan to address the Covid vaccine requirement which will soon be in place for all Foreign nationals entering the US?  As far as I know, the I-601 only addresses the immigration matter. I don't know if a moral waiver is as good as a medical waiver. Good luck.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

No information about Covid, too new.

Others have certainly filed a waiver and obtained approval for other vaccine requirements, so definitely can be done.

No harm in having the Packet ready to go, and yes there is a filing fee.

Had exactly the same thoughts! However on the CDC website it says that it’s is not applicable (vaccine to travel to the USA) if you are in possession of an immigrant visa. There is a list of visas that apply in that category.

hope that helps clear that one up, although I guess as always it can be subject to change.
