hello,

i am really upset as i haven't received interview letter this month.

The never ending wait is now making me loose hope.

i saw ppl who are DQ in oct got the IL for November.

i am waiting since DQ 7th july, and change of embassy on 27th august 2021 to London.

does anyone have an idea ,if i still have a chance to get an interview letter this month.

IF not what can i do about it ?

I tried to contact NVC last month and they just replied to send a more specific enquiry with both the petitioner and the beneficiary details, which i alreday had mentioned in the email.

i am just so LOST.

I would really appreciate if any one can give any advice that i can folow to speed up this process .

Is there anyone who i can talk to know what is the problem with my case that i didn't receive IL yet

There is no problem other than the long queue.   You have been DQ'd only 3 months. That is not very long at all in Covid era.  When you changed consulates, you entered a different queue.  You will either have to wait until you reach the front of the queue for your consulate, or you will have to request an expedite if you qualify.   Nothing is fast when it comes to immigration.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

@Sal/zma, did you get any confirmation that NVC changed your consulate?

sorry for your wait but many wait longer than this

and be ready for even longer AP after the interview as your spouse is from Pakistan and will undergo extra security checks  / be aware CEAC site will say refused while it goes thru this process which can take weeks,  months or a year

Pakistan has poor record keeping   go to the portal for pakistan and read posts about this part of process to gain further insight

Every case is different, with different circumstances.  Comparing your case to others will only cause more frustration.  Cases vary, workloads at Embassies vary, staffing levels at Embassies (especially during COVID) vary, the case backlogs created by COVID restrictions vary.

You only entered London's queue at the end of August.  By that time, the September interview schedule had clearly already been set, and October's was nearly ready to be announced.  The schedule is set at least a month in advance, to give people time to be ready for the interview.  Even without a COVID backlog, it is unlikely that you would have been scheduled yet.  It's hard, but patience is required

i have been following alot of pakistani portals ,most of the cases get approved easily.

i have known more than 100 people who have visa approved in last 3-4 months without any AP.

it all depends on how the documents and the interview is prepared.

I have seen people gone into AP with other embassies as well.

my query is regarding the NVC ,which act different in every case.

i have been following a case in this portal which transferred in july and got interview letter in sept.

i was hoping i will get mine in this month as they are currently sending the interview for ppl DQ in oct.

i dont get what does getting to front of queue mean.

is it specifically of CR1 category or will it be for all the visa category .

seems like london embassy id not backlogged for CR1 category as they are sending out IL for ppl who got DQ one week ago

Islamabad was my primary embassy

Did you see the visa statistics? How many visas are being issued monthly in Islamabad and London in your category?

It seems like London does not issue many IR and CR as compared to Islamabad

You can see that info on Visa statistics page on USCIS

But again all of it is irrelevant because the agency that has to answer never answers 🙄

to my knowledge, the interview are organized by the DQ dates for CR1/IR1 .

for pakistan embassy has a huge backlog of around 12 months, currently DQ oct 2020 are in process of getting interview, where  as in london  ppl who are DQ in oct 2021 have recieved their Interview  letters.

,so apparently london consulate seems to have cleared the  backlog for this particular visa Catogery .

this is my i understand from my research.Rest God knows well

That is correct.....for each consulate.

1. Case is DQ'd by NVC.

2. Case then enters NVC queue for your consulate and waits at NVC.

3. Consulate informs NVC of available interview date for upcoming month.

4. NVC schedules interview when case reaches the front of the queue for that consulate.

5. NVC notifies person of interview date via email.

6. NVC then sends case to consulate.

After the interview is scheduled, it can take several days to several weeks for the consulate to receive the case.
