Yes.  It will not be an issue.  You can together in either line.

My son (15 months old) and myself are US citizens and my wife will be approved for her cr1 visa soon.  When we arrive to the US together.  Will we be able to go to the non-us citizen lines with her and accompany her with the secondary screening?  Do we need to go to the US line and wait?

Yes, you can (at least based on my experiences).  I am even a Global Entry member, US citizen,  (yes, less than 5 mins on immigration), but have to give that up and line with my family holding non-US passport and able to enter US ok.

To echo the others, yes. Earlier this month I accompanied my wife and stepkids through this process at the Atlanta POE. I greeted one of several people that were guiding those arriving into the proper line, explained the situation, and they told my family "welcome to the US" and waved us on through to an agent. Everyone was professional yet cordial...y'all should be good to go.

Thanks, when your wife went to secondary screening where you able to be present, wait in the waiting area or wait in the baggage claim?

After the first counter, they waved us over to what I am guessing was secondary screening (basically another cubicle) where, after a brief wait in a seating area, they called us all up, gave her a sheet with some info about the next steps, asked a few questions to confirm address, etc and it was off to baggage claim from there. I was with them the whole time.

Is this Peru? If so, I'd really like to know how "soon" the interview/approval is going to be. We haven't heard a thing for about 8 months now since we were DQ'd at NVC in February 2021. If you have any secret please let me know...

Yes, Peru.  They are reviewing our case now at NVC, any day we should get approved for an interview.  I have been emailing every two weeks for updates, which of course takes about a month for a response.

Are you just waiting for an interview?

I've come thru multiple POE's as recently as September this year, and never had an issue with my wife coming thru the same line as me ( US passport holder). I know it's kinda confusing because you really don't know when you get to those signs, but after the first time we went separate CBP told us it's no issue to accompany your spouse thru the line with you, I think they prefer that because any questions everyone is right there.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services.
