Hello,

I would like to know if anybody got their interview dates from NVC after the US Embassies opened up in India, after June 2021.

My case has been approved since Oct 2020, but I have not received an interview date yet. Is there anyway I could track/search how far the interviews are at the NVC

Any help is appreciated!

Thank you!

Mumbai consulate is currently working on March-April 2020 cancelled interviews. Don't know why they are not pacing up. Covid situation is under control from last several months. :(

Hey.. i thought they are working on cases got DQed in Dec 2020. Are they still stuck with Mar-Apr 2020? I got DQed on Aug 2021. Does that mean I gotta wait for another year to get an interview scheduled?

For different categories they are working on different DQ. Most likely they won’t be working on F categories due to limited Visa Numbers. Currently based on prioritization they will be more focused on Immediate Relative Categories (Spouse & Parents)

I have been monitoring this portal for the IR categories interviews since August 2021. I have seen very few (less than 5 I think) IR interviews since August. So I am really not sure what's going on in Mumbai. I did find out through other groups that some (IR category) who got DQed In Oct 2020 did get an interview date in Sep 2021. But then there is no clear pattern of how it is progressing. Neither the NVC nor Mumbai Consulate is sharing any details about the visas issuance. In fact they are getting so many calls that they give a very generic response.

It's really hard to make any sense of what's the strategy of the IR interview dates.

All I can say is that I have seen many unfortunate cases since the pandemic. So, if all I have to put up is some more waiting time, I am sort of getting okay with it 🙂

Just heard Democrats are not funding and providing resources to US Embassy in India.

Thanks for your response. I am spouse of LPR and waiting for F2A visa. Do you know anything about the latest DQ date for which interviews being scheduled recently?

If they don't have enough resources then how come they are providing record thousands of non-immigrant visas (specially student based ) ?

They somehow managed to do that as they get millions in fee from students and was pressured by senates. Similarly currently they work on H1’s as they have been pressured from corporate lobby. Biden Government is jerk with no plans. Go Brandon Go.
