I am not sure which tab this is supposed to go under: My partner and I filed for the k1 visa in October 2020

RFE: 05/29/21

RFE Sent: 06/01/21

Case Accepted by USCIS: 09/10/21

Case Received by NVC: 09/23/21

NVC Sent back to USCIS: 09/29/21

Processed by USCIS: 10/04/21

Country: Ecuador

The representative I spoke with said that he sees this all the time and it is very common. He also said that they cannot do a hard inquiry on my case until it has past 180 days without movement. I'm seeing things about letting our case expire? Has anyone dealt with this? Any advice on what to do from here? Thank you in advanced.

The cases I've seen around the forum are about petitions being returned by the consular officer not by NVC

NVC just assigns a case number and forwards it to the proper embassy/consulate.

Maybe there was a mistake in your petition and that's why it was returned? What was the RFE for?
