Just wondering if anybody here have experience bringing their bikes to US by air, using the airlines extra baggage service ?

How did you package it to avoid minimum damage ?  Also how did you disassemble it ?

It is a Giant road bike and has an aluminum frame.

Many Thanks Everyone!!

Typically take off the seat and handle bar.  Use the bicyle box from the airline or buy one yourself.  They even make special soft-side and hard-side luggage.
