Hello,

My father recently passed away unexpectedly and so I will be travelling home for the first time since I came over on my K1 visa back in October 2019. This will be my first time travelling with my green card and so I just had a few questions if anyone can give me some advice.

In the case of documents I think I only need my passport and green card in order to legally travel but I will also be bringing a copy of my wife's birth certificate and a copy of our marriage one. I've been looking on the UK Government website along with the US one to see what I need in regards to Covid-19. It appears all I need is a day 2 covid test to be scheduled and taken upon entry into the UK. Then I will be required to take and prove a negative covid test within 3 days of departure once I re-enter the US.

If there is anything that I am missing please let me know as I'm a little nervous about travelling in case I cannot get back into the US. I rent a house with my wife, we have 2 cars, both work etc. so I think I'll bring a big pack of proof just in case they try to pull anything on me.

Thank you,

David

I am sorry for your loss.  You don't need a big pack of proof.  You are overthinking this.  Your Passport and valid Green Card are sufficient for re-entering the US... in addition to Covid testing requirements.  Have a safe trip.
